The Windmill Game Ranch is a premier exotic game ranch combined with trophy white tails & is nestled in the most northern part of the Edwards Plateau just south of Abilene, Texas. There is a wide variety of landscapes with deep canyons, open grasslands, plentiful oak groves & thick cedar within the 645 acres of high fence as well as an additional 700 acres with free ranging whitetail, hogs & turkey, providing a West Texas hunting experience unlike any other.
Windmill Game Ranch has been owned and operated by Jerry Beaird since 1997. Jerry holds a degree from Texas A&M Kingsville in Range and Wildlife Management. The ranch has a 5000 square foot Bed & Breakfast 5 bedroom lodge as well as two smaller cabins for the more conservative hunter who is wild at heart.

In Febuary 2007 Jerry purchased Noodle Creek Lodge which is a 3000 square foot facility equipped with 20 bunks, large kitchen with smokers, & opened flame pits for mesquite flame grilled steaks from Angus beef raised on the ranch. In the past, Noodle Creek Lodge was used exclusively for
Cooperate Dove Hunts but is used now for any larger groups of 6 or more, whether for dove hunting or exotic hunting. Noodle Creek Lodge has a basketball court, which is used as a dance floor for larger groups to enjoy dancing & listening to Jerry & his local band play country music & classic rock. Noodle Creek also has a horse shoe pit & shooting range for skeet & target practice.
For dove, quail & turkey Jerry leases several thousand acres of grain fields in addition to the 1345 acres that he owns. Some hunters compared the 2008 Dove hunts at Noodle Creek Lodge to the hunts experienced in Argentina. Many hunters were limiting out in less than 30 minutes, & with the abundance of Eurasian Doves some hunters continued to hunt & wait for these larger exotic birds which have no limit.
